Can Your DV Confirmation Number / DV Case Number Be Stolen?

Can someone steal your DV Confirmation Number / DV case number and use it as his or her own? This is what will be answer in this guide.

Remember that you get your confirmation number once you have successfully submitted your DV lottery entry. That’s when you receive your confirmation number.

Find out more about the difference between the Confirmation Number and Case Number

Can someone steal your DV Confirmation Number / DV Case Number?

Confirmation number is a 16 combination of digits and letters. This number is unique to every applicant and it is the number that you will use to check whether you have been selected or you have not been selected. It is unique to you.

When it comes to someone stealing your case number, can someone really steal it? The answer is a no. You should keep your confirmation number private and personal. But if someone by any chance comes across your confirmation number, there’s no way they can impersonate you. This is something that is impossible.

Find out All About The Diversity Visa Lottery Case Number

Remember that when filling in your diversity visa application, you filled your details, your personal information, and no one knows about your personal information.

Even if someone tries to impersonate you by using your DV confirmation number, it will be of no use because even if he or she checks the results and finds that you are selected, he/she cannot impersonate you and use your details because he or she might not be knowing your details.

Even if they know your details, they can never be you. The passport photo, it can never resemble him or her. Your photo will never be the photo of your imposter or the person stealing your information.

Your travel documents will never be the same. So even if he/she gets access to your first notification letter (2NL) and tries to proceed with the processing, he or she will never succeed, so it can never be stolen.

It has never been heard of since the DV Lottery program was initiated, so it can never be stolen. The same case applies to the case numbers. Nobody can steal your case number.

The case number is unique to you and it is your own. It is the number to which your details have been attached to. When filling the DS-260, this is the number that you’re using. When receiving the second notification letter (2NL), the same number that you will be using at your interview.

You will use same case number to fill the DS-260 form. So only your details will be used and no one can try to fake out information to try to look like you and succeed because they cannot produce any form of document that is legit to prove that they are the ones.

The photos, they are different. Everything is totally different. So the idea about stealing your case number is impossible. It has never been heard of and it can never even succeed.

So your case number and your confirmation number is safe with you. Even if an imposter get access to these numbers, they can never use it in the right way. It can never benefit them.

Don’t worry about someone knowing your confirmation number. Keep it personal. But if someone comes across it, there is no problem and nothing to worry about it.

What is the difference between the Confirmation Number and Case Number?

There are these two terms that many people are confused or get confused in the DV process. That is the confirmation number and the case number. What is the difference between these two terms?

Confirmation Number

The confirmation number is the number that you get once you apply for the DV lottery program successfully.

Immediately you fill in your details, the details of your dependents and derivatives, and you submit your application to the DV lottery, the number that you receive, that’s what we call the confirmation number.

You’re supposed to keep it safe because this confirmation number is what you will use during checking the DV lottery results. When you’re checking the results, you’ll use this confirmation number to check if you were selected.

The Case Number

When you want to check the results and you visit the dvprogram.state.gov and filled in the entrant status check and submit it, then there will be a notification.

If you are successful and you are selected, there will be a notification saying that your entry was selected and there will be a downloadable notification of the same telling you that you are successfully selected to proceed with the process.

That first notification is called the First Notification Letter (1NL), as discussed in this post here, you will find a number and that number is special to you, is specific to you. That number is what we call the case number.

Case Number is the number that the KCC, the Kentucky consular Center uses to schedule the interviews, and they do this in an ascending order. The case number is the one that KCC uses to schedule for your interview.

That is the difference between the two terms that are commonly used in the DV process.

I hope the information is clear.

“Confirmation Number Disappeared” on the process of applying Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery, “Same Photos Eligibility” and “Country of Birth”

Confirmation number disappeared on the process of applying DV lottery, what should you do?

We are in period of the DV Lottery 2025 application, and majority of people have already applied for it, also majority have not yet. Maybe because they are taking their time in preparation, ensuring that the photo they are applying with meet the qualifications, and also ensuring that they have all the information about the DV Lottery application.

This guide will focus mainly on issues regarding “Confirmation number disappeared” on the process of applying DV lottery, “Same Photos Eligibility” and “Country of Birth”.

It is very important you know that is only when you have your confirmation number that is when you know that you have applied, and you must keep your confirmation number safe, don’t lose it.

This confirmation number, you have to save it very well. It is recommended that you print it out, that page that comes after you have filled your DV application, which says congratulations, you have successfully applied for the DV Lottery 2025, make sure you print it.

You print it out and store it within your important documents because you will require this confirmation number during the checking of your results. Without it, you cannot check for the results. So it is recommended that you print it out and save it.

If you are not able to print it out, maybe you filled the DV lottery form using your phone and you don’t have any access to any printing accessory, then what you need to do is to screenshot the success page. Just take a screenshot of it and preserve it.

You can save it on your phone if you trust your phone. Or you can save it on the Google Drive if you can. You can save it in whichever gadgets or any storage that you feel is safe.

Question: I have applied or just finished applying DV lottery, but I pressed the refresh button before saving my confirmation number, how can I retrieve my confirmation number?

If you did not save your confirmation number and you refreshed the page before saving it, what should you do?

Do not do a second DV lottery application with the aim of saving the confirmation number. If you have applied and you erroneously refreshed the page without you saving the confirmation number, the only option that you have is to wait till the results are out, that is next year in the month of May.

That is the only thing that you have to do, wait till May of next year. After the results are out, then, you will be able to recover your confirmation number.

But one thing that you should note is that, you will need your details (your last name and your year of birth). Your last name and your year of birth is what you should remember.

The name that you used in the application as your last name or the family name is what you need to remember. Also the year of birth that you used in the application. You are recommended to use that date of birth which is indicated on either your passport or birth certificate.

Use the exact date of birth on your birth certificate or passport, so that you can remember it easily. You must remember your year of birth and your last or family name for you to recover the confirmation number.

Same Photos Eligibility

Question: Can someone use the same photos that his or her spouse used for the DV lottery application?

Let say, the couple or the family, they took the photos, one set of it, the husband, the wife, and the kids or the husband and the wife. Can you use the same photos for application as your spouse? The correct answer is yes.

The same photos that you used in application, you as the principal applicant, is the same photos that your spouse should use for the application, use the same photos, there is no harm in that.

Find out more about Photo Requirements for DV Lottery.

Remember, when you applied and your spouse applied too, then you increase your chances, you have a double chances of getting selected for diversity visa.

Country Of Birth

The country of birth is the country that you use for eligibility. If you used your country of birth as the country of eligibility and you have some worries whether you should have used that, you did the proper thing. The correct thing to do is to use your country of birth as the country of eligibility.

Remember, there are other ways. If your country of birth is not in the list of the eligible countries for DV lottery, then if you’re married, you can use the country of your spouse as the country of eligibility, provided that the country is on the eligibility list.

If you used your country of birth as the country of eligibility, that is the correct way. You should not use the country of your citizenship if it is not the country of your birth as the country of eligibility, if you’re qualifying through the country of birth.

  • For this year Diversity Visa lottery, natives of the following countries and areas are eligible to apply…..view list
  • For this year Diversity Visa lottery, natives of the following countries and areas are not eligible to apply…..view list

If you are born in a country that is eligible, use the country of eligibility as the country of your birth.

Thanks for reading this guide, continue applying for those who have not applied yet, and remember, you just apply once, not twice. If you apply twice, you are disqualified completely.

DV-2025 Lottery Program Selection Process | How do they select the winners?

What is the selection process for DV-2025 lottery program?

Based on the allocations of available visas in each region and country, the U.S Department of State randomly select individuals by computer from among qualified entries.

DV-Lottery winners are randomly selected by computer, it’s just by a computer program that knows nothing about the time you entered the lottery or the day, but only the numbers that are given and then randomly selects or picks from those numbers.

A lottery is used as a fair, unbiased method to choose DV Lottery participants for the opportunity to continue the U.S immigration process.

There are Factors that will not affect your chances of getting selected in the DV (Green Card) lottery process, see more details>>>

Process of Checking DV lottery results

All DV-2025 entrants must go to the Entrant Status Check using their unique confirmation number saved from their DV-2025 online entry registration to find out whether their entry has been selected in the DV program.

Entrant Status Check will be available on the E-DV website at dvprogram.state.gov from May 4, 2024, through at least September 30, 2025. If your entry is selected, you will be directed to a confirmation page providing further instructions, including information about fees connected with immigration to the United States.

Entrant Status Check will be the ONLY means by which the U.S Department of State notifies selectees of their selection for DV-2025.

The Department of State will not mail notification letters or notify selectees by email. U.S. embassies and consulates will not provide a list of selectees. Individuals who have not been selected also ONLY will be notified through Entrant Status Check. All applicants are strongly encouraged to access Entrant Status Check their self. Don’t rely on someone else to check and inform you.

In order to immigrate, DV selectees must be admissible to the United States. The DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application, electronically, and the consular officer, in person, will ask you questions about your eligibility to immigrate under U.S. law. These questions include criminal and security-related topics.

READ: DV Lottery (Green Card) Interview Questions and Answers

All selectees, including family members, must be issued visas by September 30, 2025. Under no circumstances can the Department of State issue DVs nor can USCIS approve adjustments after this date, nor can family members obtain DVs to follow-to-join the principal applicant in the United States after this date.

The U.S. government only authorizes issuance of approximately 55,000 diversity visas each year. Given the limited number of visas available, selectees should act promptly in submitting their materials and pursuing their application.

How do I know if I am selected?

You must use your confirmation number to access the Entrant Status Check available on the E-DV website at dvprogram.state.gov from May 4, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Entrant Status Check is the sole means by which the Department of State will notify you if you are selected, provide further instructions on your visa application, and notify you of your immigrant visa interview appointment date and time.

To ensure the use of all available visas, the Department of State may use Entrant Status Check to notify additional selectees after May 4, 2024. Retain your confirmation number until September 30, 2025, in case of any updates. The only authorized Department of State website for official online entry in the Diversity Visa Program and Entrant Status Check is dvprogram.state.gov.

The Department of State will NOT contact you to tell you that you have been selected.

How will I know if I am not selected? Will I be notified?

The Department of State will NOT notify you directly if your entry is not selected. You must use the Entrant Status Check to learn whether you were selected. You may check the status of your DV2025 entry through the Entrant Status Check on the E-DV website from May 4, 2024, until September 30, 2025.

Keep your confirmation number until at least September 30, 2025. (Status information for the previous year’s DV program, DV-2024, is available online through September 30, 2024.)

What if I lose my confirmation number?

You must have your confirmation number to access Entrant Status Check. A tool is now available in Entrant Status Check on the E-DV website that will allow you to retrieve your confirmation number via the email address with which you registered by entering certain personal information to confirm your identity.

Find out more details about How To Retrieve Lost DV Lottery Confirmation Number here

U.S. embassies and consulates and the Kentucky Consular Center are unable to check your selection status for you or provide your confirmation number to you directly (other than through the Entrant Status Check retrieval tool). The Department of State is NOT able to provide a list of those selected to continue the visa process.

In conclusion

Being randomly selected in the Diversity Visa Lottery does not mean that you have won a Green Card; however, it does bring you and your family one step closer to becoming Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States.

After you have been chosen in the DV-Lottery, you must file the DS-260 Form with the U.S State Department’s Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) so that the consular interview can be scheduled at the U.S Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

If the consular official approve you for U.S immigration, a Diversity Immigrant Visa will be placed on a page of your passport.

You will also need to pay the online Immigrant Fee to U.S Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) so you can receive your plastic Permanent Resident Green Card.

If all of this sounds a bit complicated, don’t worry, visit this site always for new and updated information.

Second Selection for DV Lottery? How Many Times To Check DV Lottery Results?

Is there any second selection of the results in the DV lottery application processes and the results for the green card lottery? Is there any second selection for the DV Lottery?

For the DV-2024, the answer is no. The results are out once and for all, there are no second selection for DV Lottery or second results for DV Lottery.

These are some of the rumors people are saying, for example, I checked the first time I didn’t see anything, I came the second time, maybe two months later I was the winner.

Maybe you didn’t check it correctly, but if you check correctly, there are no second selection of the diversity visa rotary results.

The reason why sometimes it’s confusing which make people believe or think that there is second selection.

When you check the result, they say your entry has not been selected at this time. You may now ask, what about next time? They say at this time, maybe if I come next time it will be there. The answer is No.

It is at this time of the fiscal year of DV 2022, at this time of the fiscal year DV-2023, at this time of the fiscal of DV-2024, that particular fiscal year that we are talking about.

Another sentence which is confusing people is, “continue keeping your confirmation number until September.” So many people may say, “Oh, they say I have to keep the confirmation number, i didn’t win at this time.”

They didn’t say that if you are not the winner, keep the confirmation number. No, you needed to keep your confession number, especially if you are the winner, because you will use the confirmation number to sign in the DS-260 to process.

After September 30, it will be the end of checking the results of the one fiscal year and the next fiscal year. So no matter whether you keep it, if you are not the winner, that confirmation number means nothing at all.

How many times are you supposed to check the DV Lottery Results?

You can check your DV results first time, second time, many times you want. But even if you check 100 times, remember they cannot exceed more than the required number of visas per year.

If the winners is more than the number of visas, why should they put in the second selection? No, they don’t need to do that.

If you find out you have not been selected, will it change at a later date if you look again for the results?

The answer is no.

So if you check, you didn’t win DV lottery this time, prepare for the next lottery and you can also try to look for other opportunities which will be able to help you to continue and to be able to succeed with the process to relocate to the United States of America.

Why You Should Keep The Confirmation Number, Even If You Are Not Selected

Did you know that you have to keep your confirmation number with you when you realize you have not been selected DV lottery? Why are you supposed to keep your confirmation number? This guide is for all those that might end up not getting selected for the DV-2024 lottery.

You are supposed to keep your confirmation number because there might be a second selection. A second selection is a possibility because such happened year back like in the year 2018 and the DV lottery 2012.

In fact, for 2012, the whole process of selection had to be redone. But in 2018, when September came, there was a second selection, because they realized the cut off number, the highest one that they had placed, did not suffice the number of visas that was supposed to be issued.

And that was because there were a lot of holes in between and therefore lesser people to fill in the slots for the diversity visas that were supposed to be issued.

Therefore they had to do a second selection to add on those people, that’s it is important to keep the confirmation number, as much as it’s a rare occurrence, but it is also so possible.

So how long are you supposed to keep your confirmation number in case you realized that you are not selected? You keep your confirmation number with you up to the beginning of the interview period for that DV lottery.

In this case, as the results for the DV-2024 Lottery has been released, the interviews for the DV Lottery 2024 will only begin as from the 1 October this year. So keep your confirmation number up to October of this year.

Around October this year if there might be need for a second selection process, then they will do it around that time, and around that time you can recheck whether they have done the selection again.

If they have done it and you check, then you can find out that you have been selected or not. But note that this is a rare occurrence. It happened in 2012 and in 2018. So just keep your confirmation number with you till that time.

Does this mean a second chance? Well, to some extent, but not as promising because these occurrences, they happen rarely.

I hope this information comes to you at the right time, so that out of desperation when you realize you’ve not been selected or out of anything, you don’t dump your confirmation number but be with it.

If you have lost or misplaced your confirmation number, read this>>> How To Retrieve Lost or Misplaced DV Lottery Confirmation Number, to check DV-2024 Results.

I wish you all the best and I wish you success.

Be truthful in filling information about you, because there is no one marital status that is preferred from the other. They do not prefer married over singles or singles over married.

You just have to indicate the truthful information which you can prove if selected and invited for the interview.

Can husband and wife apply separately for DV lottery?

Yes, if otherwise qualified, a husband and a wife may submit one Green Card (DV) Lottery application each. If you receive a Green Card through the lottery, your spouse and unmarried children under 21 will simultaneously get Green Cards.

Number of children

List the name, date of birth, gender, city/town of birth, and country of birth for all living, unmarried children under 21 years of age, regardless of whether they are living with you or intend to accompany or follow to join you, should you immigrate to the United States. Submit individual photographs of each of your children using the same technical specifications as your own photograph.

Be sure to include:

  • all living natural children;
  • all living children legally adopted by you; and,
  • all living stepchildren who are unmarried and under the age of 21 on the date of your electronic entry, even if you are no longer legally married to the child’s parent, and even if the child does not currently reside with you and/or will not immigrate with you.

Married children and children who are already aged 21 or older when you submit your entry are not eligible for the DV program. However, the Child Status Protection Act protects children from “aging out” in certain circumstances: if you submit your DV entry before your unmarried child turns 21, and the child turns 21 before visa issuance, it is possible that he or she may be treated as though he or she were under 21 for visa processing purposes.

A child who is already a U.S. citizen or LPR when you submit your DV entry will not require or be issued a Diversity Visa; you will not be penalized for either including or omitting such family members from your entry.

Failure to list all children who are eligible or listing someone who is not your child will make you ineligible for a DV, and your spouse and children will also be ineligible as Diversity Visa derivative applicants.

What family members must I include on my DV entry?

If you are married, you must list your spouse and if you have children, you must include all unmarried children under the age of 21. If you are separated, you must still list your spouse. You do not need to list your former spouse if you are legally divorced.

Must I upload a photo for each family member?

Yes, please reference the photo requirements on the DV Lottery Photo Requirements for specific details.

Answer: The Diversity Visa (DV) lottery program is administered by the United States Department of State. The DV lottery immigration program grants up to 50,000 permanent resident cards annually to individuals worldwide that entered the DV Lottery.

Winners of the DV Lottery immigration program are chosen randomly by a computer drawing conducted, by the United States Department of State.

Question 2: Can I participate in the DV lottery?

Answer: Yes. If you are born in a qualifying country and meet either the education or job training requirement, then you can participate.

Question 5: Five are there requirements for education or work experience?

Answer: Yes, the educational requirement is that you must have at least a high school diploma or it’s equivalent or if you do not meet the educational requirement, then within the past five years you must have had two years of work experience in an occupation that requires at least two years of training or experience.

Answer: Annually, the United States Department of State select up to 50,000 winners that will be granted a permanent resident card.

If you exceed the 60-minute limit and have not submitted your complete entry electronically, the system discards any information already entered. The system deletes any partial entries so that they are not accidentally identified as duplicates of a later, complete entry. Read the DV instructions completely before you start to complete the form online so that you know exactly what information you will need.

Question 13: How soon after I submit my entry will I receive the electronic confirmation notice?

Answer: You should receive the confirmation notice immediately, including a confirmation number that you must record and keep.  However, the unpredictable nature of the Internet can result in delays.  You can hit the “Submit” button as many times as is necessary until a complete application is sent and you receive the confirm

Question 14: I hit the “Submit” button but did not receive a confirmation number.  If I submit another entry, will I be disqualified?

If you did not receive a confirmation number, your entry was not recorded. You must submit another entry.  It will not be counted as a duplicate.  Once you receive a confirmation number, do not resubmit your information.

Question 15: May my spouse and I each submit a separate entry?

Is there any age limit or advantage in applying DV Lottery 2024?

What is the age which is allowed for someone to apply for the Diversity visa lottery? What age to apply and win the green card lottery? Is there any advantage when you are an older applicant compared to younger ones?

These are among the most controversial thing for many people or sometimes confusing for people. Is there any edge limitation? Is there an age advantage for someone to apply and win the diversity visa lottery?

According to the diversity visa lottery instructions, there is no edge requirement in someone’s to apply for the diversity visa lottery.

Education qualification or work experience automatically is what put some sort of certain age group because you are supposed to have at least a high school education, and the high school education which is defined in DV lottery instruction is twelve years of schooling (from primary school to high school).

For instance, let’s say you went to school at the age of five, plus twelve to five, that is 17. So if you have a high school education, obviously you will be 17 at the time of applying.

Also, to have two years of professional qualifying work experience? Most of the qualifying work experience is usual of two years. Majority of people, for instance, in the American context, they are able to start working in a professional setting at the age of 16.

Let say you started a work experience at the age of 16, if you add two years working experience, it will take you to 18.

There is no age requirement to start the application, no maximum age, no edge limit.

The advantage with people who are older, they will be having good work experience, they will be having good education.

The advantage of the younger people e.g 17, 18, 19, is you have opportunity to start your studies in America, have potential of growing and excel, and you are starting afresh.

Can you win DV Lottery if you change the location as applicant?

The location of the person filling Electronic DV lottery application form does not have any impact of any kind or trick or to help you to win or not win the DV lottery.

What happens if a DV Winner dies before coming to America?

If the principal applicant of the green card (diversity visa) lottery dies whether before the interview or even after being receiving the visa on end, the entire family of the dependents will not be able to come to the United States of America.

So if you are the winner of the DV lottery, remember you are responsible to avoid unnecessary things which can cause you harm or cause you unnecessary death.

If you die, your child and your spouse will not be able to go America because the principal applicant will not be able to go America.

You cannot transfer DV lottery winning to another person.

Your Entry Has Been Selected What does it mean in the DV Lottery Program?

At the end of that letter, you will see a number called the Case Number. What is Case Number in DV Lottery Application and Visa Processing?

DV case numbers comes about during the selection process. When you apply for electronic diversity visa lottery program and successfully complete the application process, you will receive the confirmation number. You will use the confirmation number to check the results (i.e the status of your entry through DV website).

When you check the results and you find out that you are among the winners of the DV lottery, one of the most important numbers that will be given to you is called the Case Number.

The case number starts with the fiscal year, the geographical location or origin, and then other number. For instance, let say you applied for 2023 Diversity Visa Lottery program and when you check the status of your entry through DV website.

Your case number will be like this, 2023AF00007506, where 2024 is the fiscal visa year; AF is abbreviation for the region where you are from e.g Africa region; then the ‘intervening’ zeros; and 7506 is the selectee’s actual case number.

The number will be able to be used to determine when you are going to process the visa or to be called for the interview.

Importance of Case Number in DV Lottery

The importance of the case number is as follows:

The case number determines when you will be able to go for the interview. Remember, the interview for the diversity visa lottery winners are going to be scheduled based on the numbers and those numbers are also going to be displayed in what is called the visa bulletin.

Once your case number is current in the Visa Bulletin, you can check your status via DV lottery official webpage.

In each middle of the month they give the visa bulletin, where they post the visa cutoff number to be process.

Those cut off number is the case number which will be there. For example, they may say that the case number 1000 to 2000, your interview is in October, and if it is that way, you know your own interview date or period.

The case number is going to determine when you are likely to be able to contact with the interview.

After knowing that, the case number will be using along with the confirmation number to fill the visa form the DS-260.

You will need to enter your DV case number into the online DS-260 form to access and update the information about yourself and your family that you included in your DV entry.

So your case number determines how and when you will be able to go for the interview and be able to process for the visa to come to the United States of America.

You can, however, increase your family’s chances of becoming residents of the United States by various legal and acceptable means, which we’ll discuss in this article.

5 Tips To Win America Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery

  1. Both Spouses, If Eligible, Should Enter the Diversity Visa Lottery Drawing

The best way to increase your family’s chances of success is to have all eligible family members register for the lottery. A winning applicant can bring both spouse and unmarried children under age 21.

For example, let’s say you and your spouse are both Irish citizens (citizens of Ireland), you both work in skilled jobs, and both graduated from secondary school (high school diploma). As a family, you now have two numbers that may win the lottery.

You can file one application under your name, and your spouse can file one application under his or her name. You will each receive a confirmation number. If one of you wins, the other enters as a derivative spouse.

It is important to remember that each person applying for a diversity visa must meet the eligibility requirements. Therefore, if your spouse does not meet the employment, country, or education requirements, he or she is not eligible to apply on his or her own.

  1. Eligible Children Should Also Apply

There is no limit on how many eligible members of the same family may apply. If you have any children who have met the educational or work experience requirements (which usually requires them to be at least 16 to 18 years of age), those children should also enter the lottery. They won’t, if they win, be able to bring you to the U.S immediately; but they will start a path to helping you and other family members immigrate in the future.

For example: You and your 20-year-old son are eligible for diversity visas, and you both apply. Your son wins, but you do not. Your son enters the United States and becomes a lawful permanent resident. After five years of living in the U.S, your son can become a U.S citizen. As a U.S citizen, he can petition for you (considered his “immediate relative”) to become a resident of the United States.

  1. Do Not Submit More Than One Lottery Application in the Same Registration Period

If you submit more than one application for the diversity lottery during one open-registration period, your applications will all be rejected.

While you cannot submit two applications under your name, spouses can each submit their own application and list their spouse as a derivative. This will increase each spouse’s chances of being selected, even though each person can apply only once.

  1. Submit a Valid Photograph

You must submit a recent (taken within the last six months) photograph of yourself and your co-applicants. The photographs you submit must be taken facing forward and in front of a plain background. You cannot wear any hair covering unless it is for a religious purpose. Failure to submit a photograph that meets these regulations could result in the disqualification of your application. It’s usually easiest to find a professional to take the photo for you.

  1. Pay attention to details.

Incase you don’t know, the smallest typos, grammatical errors, omissions, and associated errors in data input can and will disqualify you from participating in the Diversity Visa Lottery.
